The rules
How it is played
The machine is loaded with cash or a ticket, which gives a credit. Each round stakes a number of credits, on one or more lines; the button spins the reels, and a winning combination lined up on a played line is paid according to the machine's paytable.
The outcome of each round is drawn at random by the machine, independently of previous rounds: a machine that has not paid out for a long time is not "due". Denominations range from the smallest to the largest; some machines carry a jackpot, sometimes progressive, which grows with the stakes.
