The rules: Roulette
Roulette has its origins in 17th century France, when the mathematician Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) invented a primitive version of the game which has since become a real success in casinos everywhere. However, the casino game similar to today's game appeared around 150 years later, at the end of the 18th century, when two "pockets" for the bank (zero 0 and double zero 00) were already provided, which practically represented the casino's edge over the players.
It is not hard to understand why roulette enjoys such great popularity, when you consider how simple yet exciting the game is. To play, you only need one or more chips (chips), each with a predetermined value in money, and a seat at a roulette table, where you will place your chips on the multiple betting options.
Each round involves players placing their bets, after which the croupier "throws" the ball onto the wheel, and it will eventually come to rest in a pocket which has a colour and a number between (0 and 36). Depending on the result and the bets placed in that round, the winners are determined (for example, if the ball stops on number 17, black, all bets placed on black are the winners)
Rules of play:
Before starting to play, each player buys chips of a colour, or value chips, as the case may be. Colour chips can only be used at the table where they were bought. They have no value and must be exchanged for value chips before leaving the table.
The betting areas are common to all players:
- Inside bets allow the player to bet on one, two, three, four or six numbers with a single bet.
- Outside bets, or outside chances, allow the player to bet on twelve or eighteen numbers with a single bet.
- When the ball comes to rest on "0", all outside bets lose.
